The brief
A fashion retailer wanted its flagship store relit for a new season without closing it for a single day.
What we worked around
- Work only between 9pm and 6am, with the floor handed back ready to trade
- Stock and fittings protected, and nothing left out for customers
- Parking and deliveries on the street restricted at night
Our solution
We worked between 9pm and 6am, protected every fitting and rail before starting, and handed the floor back to the store team clean and ready to trade each morning.

What we installed
- Track lighting and linear LED across the sales floor
- New lighting circuits and controls in the back of house
- Emergency lighting brought into line with the new layout
Programme
Four weeks of nights, finished before the launch weekend so the visual merchandisers could dress to the new lighting.
The result
The store opened on time every morning, and lighting energy fell by 48%.
Handover
A lighting layout as fitted, test certificates and the emergency lighting logbook brought up to date with the new layout.
We opened on time every single morning. Nobody on the floor knew we'd been there.
