What's different here

  • Work out of hours or in phases so the practice keeps seeing patients
  • Dust and noise controlled, with clean-down before areas go back into use
  • DBS checked operatives, and the practice's infection-control rules followed

What we typically do

  • Sealed LED lighting for treatment and waiting areas
  • Emergency lighting and fire alarm testing on a maintenance contract
  • Power for new clinical equipment and server rooms
  • Fixed wire testing with remedials planned around clinics

What we plan for in surgeries and care homes

  1. Infection controlThe practice's or home's infection-control rules are agreed before we start, with dust controlled and every area cleaned before it goes back into use.
  2. Clinical sessionsWork happens after the last clinic and at weekends, or in phases agreed with the practice managers, so patients are still seen.
  3. Residents at homeIn a care home nobody moves out of their room for us. We plan room by room with the home manager and keep quiet hours.
  4. Fire detection, zone by zoneFire alarm systems are changed one zone at a time, each proved before the next, so the building is never without detection.
  5. DBS and conductEvery operative holds an enhanced DBS check and follows the home's or practice's rules on conduct, privacy and where they may go.
  6. Emergency lightingEscape routes in buildings where people may need help to leave are lit to the standard, with self-test fittings and a logbook kept.
  7. Clinical equipment and ITDedicated supplies for clinical equipment and server rooms, planned so nothing a clinician relies on is switched off unannounced.
  8. Compliance recordsCertificates and logbooks the CQC or your insurer may ask for are filed in your portal, with the next tests already scheduled.

Questions clients in this sector ask

Do you work in occupied care homes?

Yes. Our care home work is done with residents at home, planned room by room with the home manager.

Can you keep our fire alarm working during an upgrade?

Yes. We change systems zone by zone, so every occupied area keeps its detection until the new zone is proved.

Do you hold the paperwork inspectors ask for?

Every certificate, logbook and test record is in your portal, ready for an inspection or your insurer.
