How we work with you

About these terms

These terms apply when Wharfe EV Ltd, trading as Wharfe EV does electrical work for you as a private customer. Your written quote, and anything we agree in writing after it, form part of them. They don't affect your statutory rights: we'll always carry out the work with reasonable care and skill.

Estimates, quotes and extra work

An estimate from this website is a guide worked out from our price list. After a survey you get a written quote, which is our fixed price for the work it describes.

A quote is valid for 30 days.

If we find something that needs doing that isn't in your quote, we price it and do it only once you've agreed in writing, for example on your job page. Your agreed price doesn't change without your say-so.

Your right to cancel

If you agree a quote at your home, by phone or online, you can cancel within 14 days without giving a reason. If you ask us to start within those 14 days and then cancel, you pay for the work already done.

If you call us out for an urgent repair, the right to cancel doesn't apply to that repair.

Paying us

For larger jobs we ask for a deposit, shown on your quote: None for home chargers. 25% for workplace and multi-bay jobs, when you accept..

Invoices are due within 7 days. Emergency call-outs are charged at the rates on our website.

Certificates and building control

You get the certificate for your work within five working days of testing. Notifiable work is registered with building control for you, and the compliance certificate follows by post.

Our guarantee

Our workmanship is guaranteed for 36 months from completion. Parts carry their manufacturers' warranties. If something we did isn't right, tell us and we'll put it right.

If we can't resolve it, our registration scheme has a complaints process for work within its scope.
