Price your installation

Seven questions. The price moves as you answer, from our own price list.

The first half is enough, like LS21.

  1. 1Where will the car charge?
    See the three drawn
On a drive or in a garage, the charger usually goes on the wall beside it. A shared car park needs the owner's permission; on the street, the cable crosses the pavement in a channel.
  2. 2Which charger?

Three quick questions, and we'll choose the charger for you.

Do you want the cable attached?
    Do you have solar panels?
    What matters most?

    We'd choose Ohme ePod

  3. Or choose one yourself
  4. 3How far is it from your fuse board to where the charger would go?

Along the route the cable would take, not in a straight line. Most drives are under 10 metres.

  5. 4How would the cable get there?
    Show me the usual routes
Most cables are clipped along the outside walls. Some go through a garage, cellar or loft, and a few under a lawn in a duct. Your photos show us which.
  6. 5What does your fuse board look like?

A photo of it settles this in a minute.

What does my fuse board look like?
A modern board has a row of switches, some marked RCD or RCBO. An older one has fuses you pull out, fuse wire, or a wooden back.
  7. 6What size is your main fuse?

Printed on the sealed fuse by your meter: 60, 80 or 100.

Where do I find the main fuse?
The sealed fuse sits beside your meter, with 60, 80 or 100 printed on it. Don't open it: a photo of the outside is all we need.
  8. 7Whose home is it?

It decides which grant, if any, applies.

The chargers we fit

Every charger here is smart: it comes set to charge outside peak hours, and you choose when it charges. Each also works with smart EV tariffs that pick the cheapest hours for you. What differs is the cable, solar, looks and warranty.

Needs a three-phase supply, which most homes don't have. We'll check yours.

    Why we'd choose it

Only worth it with a three-phase supply and a car that charges at 22 kW. Most homes are single-phase, and most cars charge at 7 kW at home.
