A bigger main fuse is your network operator's, and normally free. We fit everything on your side of the meter.

When it's needed

  • Your fuse board is full, with no space for the charger's protection
  • It has fuse wire, cartridge fuses or a wooden back
  • Your main fuse is 60 amps and the network operator wants it bigger
  • You'd like a 22 kW charger and need a three-phase supply

What's included

  • A small board for the charger, or a new consumer unit with RCBO protection
  • Every circuit tested, before and after
  • The network operator's work arranged for you, where it's needed
  • Your certificate and the building control notification

How it goes

  1. Photos or survey

We work out what's needed, and nothing more, from your photos or a visit.

  2. Network operator

Where the fuse or supply needs changing, we apply and arrange their visit.

  3. The work

Usually on the same day as your charger.

Questions

Will my network operator charge for a bigger fuse?

Usually not. Upgrading a 60 amp main fuse is normally free. A three-phase supply is priced by them after their own survey.
