How it went

A red-brick new-build with a grey garage door, a charger beside it and a grey car charging on the block-paved drive.

Photos to charging in nine days

Daniel's board is just inside the integral garage, four metres from where he wanted the charger, so this was a standard installation at the standard price. The cable goes straight through the wall behind the charger, so there's nothing to see outside. Hannah set up the app on his phone with his overnight tariff, and his first charge started at half past eleven that night.

Twenty-two metres through a Victorian cellar

Ilkley · a day

myenergi zappi£1,530A day★★★★★

Tom's board is in the cellar at the back of the house and the drive is at the side, so the shortest route was through the cellar: 22 metres along the joists and out through the wall behind the charger.
