- You're adding a shower, an EV charger or an extension
- A condition report marked it C2, potentially dangerous

Questions
Do I need a new consumer unit or just a repair?
If it has rewireable fuses, no RCD protection, or it's in a plastic enclosure under the stairs, a new board is usually the safer and cheaper answer. If it's modern and one circuit is misbehaving, we'll find the fault instead.
Will I lose power for the whole day?
For about six hours. We'll tell you the time the day before, and keep your fridge and freezer running from a temporary supply.
