Questions couples ask us

Planning

How far ahead can we book?

Our 2027 and 2028 dates are open now. Saturdays in May to September go first, often eighteen months ahead.

Do you ever host more than one wedding a day?

Never. The house, the gardens and the team are yours alone from the morning until midnight.

Can we bring our own suppliers?

Yes, for your photographer, flowers, music and cake. The kitchen and the bar are ours, which is how we can promise the food and service.

How do we secure a date?

We hold your date for 72 hours without payment while you decide. A deposit then secures it, and your price is fixed from that point.

The day

What happens if it rains?

Your ceremony is indoors in the Grand Hall or the Orangery either way. If it rains, drinks move from the lawn into the Orangery and nothing else changes.

When does the music finish?

At midnight, or one o'clock with our late licence.

Can we have fireworks?

Silent fireworks on the lawn, before half past ten, through our approved supplier.

Guests

Is the house accessible?

The Grand Hall, the Garden Room and the Orangery are all step-free, with an accessible toilet and one ground-floor bedroom.

Is there parking?

Space for 90 cars in the old stable yard, and staying guests can leave their cars overnight.

Are children welcome?

Very. The kitchen has a children's menu, and the walled garden is a safe place for them to run about.

Staying

How many people can stay?

Sixteen, in the bridal suite and seven guest bedrooms. There are three more places to stay within ten minutes.

Is breakfast included?

Yes. Staying guests have breakfast together in the Garden Room the next morning.
